Super 8

Why shoot Super 8

Super 8 is nostalgic and dreamy and raw. It doesn’t need much besides the film itself, the grain and light leaks and faded tones give it that imperfectly perfect quality that can’t be replicated any other way. It’s both beautiful and timeless in its simplicity.

Whether it’s to commemorate a wedding, adventure, anniversary, launch of your brand, or just because, Super 8 video is my favorite way to capture memories in motion. It’s the kind of thing you want to keep and pass on from one generation to the next.

I don’t shoot photography and Super 8 at the same time, so you'd hire me hourly for one or the other, or I hire a second shooter who can help me do both. Each roll of Super 8 film covers about 2-3 minutes of footage and costs around $150 for the film itself and to develop and scan. It’s definitely an investment, but one that is well worth it! I’d recommend getting at least 1-3 rolls an hour for every hour you want captured.
