EXPLORE locations
Join us for EARTH Excursions 2025 & 2026 in Utah, Turkey, Greece, Bali, and Iceland.
I chose each of these locations because they're some of the most otherworldly, gorgeous places I've ever seen: stark landscapes and pastel pink lakes, fields of wild horses, basalt columns and black sand beaches, remote waterfalls nestled deep into the jungle, glittering gatorade-blue water of the Aegean Sea, white-washed volcanic moonscape beaches, abandoned monasteries, fjords, salt flats—all of it.
An EARTH Excursion is a full elopement story with one couple, styled and planned the way I hope my dream couple would go for. This is what I hope to book with clients who hire me–casual adventure sessions really exploring a new place and getting creative in a variety of landscapes, artful getting ready photos highlighting intentional details, solo bridals with the bride, and elopement photos with the couple together. EARTH Excursions also give you a great insight into the place you’re traveling, so you can leave each place feeling confident about where to go and what to suggest to future couples when you return.

Education
We'll likely add more courses as we get closer to the date, but here's a little about what you can expect to learn in Milos.
Even if you can't attend Greece in person, check out past online courses here.
01. LEVEL UP YOUR PHOTOS
Taught by Cara Mia. Let's deep dive into each of our creative portfolios to identify our creative "comfort zones" and really take a personalized approach to implementing new challenges at each shoot we do.
02. COLOR THEORY
Taught by Melissa Kamba. We'll spend a morning painting together and learning the ins and outs of color theory and how to harness it to create more artistic, visually impactful work.
03. THE ART OF DETAILS
Taught by stylist "Stay Co," Erica Kopp. We'll slow it down and learn the art of storytelling through details—how to style and come up with concepts, how to compose a scene, and how to artfully capture the essence of simple, beautiful details for both couples and brands.
04. THE MAGIC OF SCENE BUILDING
Taught by Henry Head. How can we get to know our couples, the real relationships, the real memories that give real insight into their personalities, so that we can build scenes to shoot them that actually has a connection to who they are?
We’ll take a hands-on approach and use the power of imagination to conceptualize and build scenes in multiple locations across Milos to learn how to be true the magic of a scene in a story to ditch a fragmented social media view and give a more holistic approach to photography.
05. SUPER 8, 16 MM, 120MM, 35MM FILM Q&A
Taught by Henry Head. Been wanting to get more into Super 8, 16mm, or 120mm or 35mm film? Bring your vintage cameras with you and we’ll carve out space to practice with them and go over any questions you might have.
06. PRACTICINIG SHOOTING UNDERWATER
We'll experiment with some underwater shooting both at our Catamaran shoot and private pool.
We'll have a number of hands-on activities, discussions, and creative challenges that correspond with each shoot day to really get you out of your comfort zone.
This is the longest workshop we've had to date for a reason. Past workshops have either been too short or too rushed to really have the time that creativity and learning demands. Yes, I want you to walk away with beautiful photos for your portfolio, but I want this workshop to be so much more than that. Each shoot and class will be specifically and intentionally designed to for your to put into practice what we are working on learning together.

FAQ
01. Will lodging, food, and transportation be included?
Yes! From the moment we pick you up from the Milos airport, everything will be included. You just have to fly yourself there.
______
02. Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! You can indicate your preference for a custom payment plan and split your payment up to 12 times. See the “cost and payment” plan section for more details.
______
03. How do I get to Milos?
Milos is a small remote island in Greece. I'd recommend flying in to Athens, Greece first, and then either getting a connecting flight to Milos (MLO airport) or taking a ferry (the closest ferry port is in Piraeus, which is a 40 minute taxi drive from the airport). Check out https://www.ferryhopper.com/en/#search for more info.
______
04. If I can no longer come, can I get a refund?
Tickets are nonrefundable, but they are transferable.
______
05. If I can no longer come, can I transfer my ticket?
Yes, absolutely. If you can no longer attend, it will be fully your responsibility to both sell your ticket and handle all financial transactions with whoever takes your spot.
______
06. Why Milos?
Milos is my favorite Greek island. It's a hidden gem—moonlike rocky beaches, hidden coves and cliffs, wonderful people, delicious food, cerulean water. You'll fall in love with it, I promise.
______
07. How many shoots will there be?
There will be at least 9 shoots. I like to have multiple shoots going at once so no one is stuck waiting around. T
______
08. What kinds of shoots are they?
We’re pulling out all the stops to make each shoot unique and magical! We'll have a mix of multiple full elopement stories (couples shoots, getting ready shoots, catamaran shoots, sarakiniko beach shoots, some solo bridal shoots, and a few more experimental). If you are a wedding photographer or videographer you'll get plenty of content to build your international portfolio, as well as some shoots designed to help yourself grow as an artist.
______
09. Will there be any elopement shoots?
Yes! We're hiring 2-3 couples and will be doing a mix of elopement/bridal shoots with whoever we fly in.
______
10. What if it rains/what if the weather is bad?
I think we'll get lucky with Greece, but you never know! My advice? Plan for the worst. Weatherproof yourself and all your gear, if it rains we will shoot through it. We won’t reschedule or cancel unless for any reason it becomes unsafe to shoot. We'll be there for 6 days so if we have to switch around a few things in our schedule, we'll have the flexibility to do so.
______
11. Is there a Facebook Group?
Yes! You’ll get the link to join when you officially sign up.
______
12. What will I need to pack?
We will send you a packing list a month before you leave. But I'd recommend you bring at least two camera bodies and lenses, swimsuits, layers for the evening, nice dinner clothes, and everything you need a for a relaxing Greece vacation.
13. Can photographers and videographers attend?
Absolutely! Everyone is welcome.
______
14. Who are the teachers?
We'll have Stay Co (Erica Kopp) teaching art of Details, Melissa Kamba teaching color theory, and Henry Head is our newest teacher! He's a film/super 8/16mm expert and creative genius, you'll have plenty of chances to pick his brain and learn from him.
______
15. Can I stay in my own room?
If you would like the option to stay in your own room, you can pay an additional $1000 to do so. You will need to let us know upon signing up though, otherwise it might not be an option down the road.
